Adopt an American Kestrel
Falco sparverius
VINS, along with landowners and volunteers, monitors a network of American Kestrel nest boxes throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Kestrel populations are declining across North America and one hypothesis is that they lack adequate nesting sites as a result of habitat alteration. We hope that these boxes will provide suitable options for nesting pairs and will help keep the population stable.
Help support our work with American Kestrels by symbolically adopting a wild bird or a nest box. Funds go toward the costs of maintaining and monitoring our extensive nest box network.
